I started my career in the accounting function in the travel industry, then moved on to management, analytical, and executive roles, spending nearly 25 years in the corporate world in both Finance and Operations roles.
12 years ago, I started The How Factor, a company focused on documenting processes. 5 years later, The How Factor became All Systems Grow, to fully incorporate the services we offered: Process Improvement, Strategic Planning, Role Defining and Alignment, and Team Building.
And, as All Systems Grow flourished, I began to see the need, in the entrepreneurship world, for more insight and support for women. That is how SheDefined,Inc was born. SheDefined was created to meet the needs of female start-ups and entrepreneurs, while still offering the same insight, resources, and tools available to much larger companies and CEO's.
So, how does a serial entrepreneur, who preaches efficiency, operate multiple companies and brands at one time. Somehow we get it done, but at the expense of the efficiency (and the peace) I preach, so enter:

For the past 10 years, I have served over 100 companies in consulting and coaching roles offering actionable insight to create sustainable and scalable success, through Strategic Planning and the creation of efficient and scalable processes to easily duplicate success.
A couple of years into my consulting practice I realized the IMPORTANCE of aligning the strategic objectives to the operational behaviors (people and processes) of the company. Many clients have heard me say "It's not your people who are broken, it's your processes." However, we must have the right people, in roles that align to their gifts, doing the right things executing on those processes."
In the past 5 years, I've added coaching as a way to move individuals and teams into action, to help CEO's define their culture, and to ensure companies have the right people in the right roles doing the right things.
A Personal Note: My expertise comes from lived experience. It comes from not only being formally educated, with a Finance degree and an MBA with a specialization in accounting, but also from being in different roles, in various industries, and moving up through the ranks in big and small companies. I've gained experience and insight in companies that were struggling and those that were thriving and growing. I have learned from great leaders and I've learned what doesn't work from others. In my career and my entrepreneurial ventures, I've fallen, got back up, and tried again and recognize the power we each hold. I know failure brings learning and that learning ultimately drives success and that we are each doing our best.
And, I recognize that all my learning has brought me here and I bring all of that experience and insight to the executives, teams, individuals, and companies with whom I work.
I am sometimes asked, "What does compassion have to do with running a business?"
"Everything," is my reply. We are people leading people, our products and services are sold to people, and our daily interactions with our communities are interactions with people. Compassion, is what allows me as a coach and consultant to truly understand your challenges, and it is what drives impact in companies and in communities. From compassion we can create real conversations, deeper understanding, and imactful change. At Julia, Inc., we start from compassion.
